“The intuitive” series by Ilse van Stoltz/ Wandkraft

I am Ilse van Stoltz, a visual artist from The Hague. I have always had a creative mind, and my passion for creating is as old as my first memories. For a long time, making art was only a personal outlet, and only seen by friends and family. Only in recent years have I started to focus on making art for a wider audience. My work mainly consists of abstract artworks. With earthy and saturated colors and a firmly lined composition, I explore the boundaries of form and emotion.

 

As a visual artist, I often approach my work with a deep intuition, where my medium and brushes move freely across the canvas, forming the basis for the origin of the composition. After this intuitive initial phase, the process evolves into a careful refinement of textures, colors and shapes. My “The Intuitive” series for Wandkraft consists of 14 works, each titled with names such as “Resonance”, “Epitome” and Essence, reflecting my personal pursuit of artistic balance. Each painting has its own story, a small piece of personal expression of my inner world infused and influenced by diverse backgrounds in interior design, fashion and dance.
